Printing for Non-Profits: Appeals, Newsletters, Annual Reports
Stretch every dollar of your print and postage budget, with a team that understands non-profit deadlines and mailing rules.
Your Print Partner for Non-Profit Work
Non-profit organizations are one of Burton & Mayer’s specialties — and have been for decades. We print year-end appeals, capital campaign pieces, donor newsletters, annual reports, gala invitations, and the everyday envelopes and letterhead that keep an organization running. Because mailing is done in our building, we also handle non-profit postage rates, list cleanup, and delivery to the post office, so you aren’t coordinating three vendors for one appeal.
We work with churches, schools, foundations, human-services agencies, and arts organizations throughout Milwaukee, Waukesha County, and beyond.
What We Print for Non-Profits
- Fundraising appeals — letter, reply card, and reply envelope packages with personalized names and ask amounts.
- Donor newsletters — printed and mailed on a schedule you set.
- Annual reports and impact reports — saddle-stitched or perfect-bound.
- Event materials — invitations, programs, signage, sponsor banners, and auction catalogs.
- Membership and volunteer materials — cards, handbooks, welcome kits.
- Stationery — letterhead, envelopes, business cards, thank-you cards.
Ways We Help the Budget
- Non-profit postage rates applied and paperwork handled. We have a permit but can also use your organization’s non-profit permit.
- Gang runs and standard sizes when the piece allows, to lower unit cost.
- Honest advice on quantity — we’ll tell you when 2,500 is smarter than 5,000.
- Design help for organizations without a designer on staff.

Questions
Can you mail using our non-profit permit? Yes — we can use your organization’s permit or our own.
How far ahead should we book a year-end appeal? Most projects complete within 2–3 weeks from approval of art, but we recommend planning 4–6 weeks ahead during the busy fall season.
Can you personalize each letter? Yes — variable data printing pulls each donor’s name, history, and ask amount from your list.
