When the Union Label Matters

When your members expect the union label, it has to be real. Burton & Mayer is a union shop — our pressroom and bindery are staffed by union members, and we are authorized to print the union label or “union bug” on your printed pieces.

For more than 80 years we’ve printed for locals, councils, and labor-affiliated organizations across Wisconsin and nationally. We understand deadlines tied to elections, contract votes, and conventions, and we understand that the label isn’t a formality — it’s a statement about who did the work.

What is a union bug? A small mark printed on a piece showing it was produced by union labor in an authorized shop. Political candidates and labor organizations often require it.

Can you add the bug to a design we already have? Yes — send us the file and we’ll place it correctly.

Do you handle mailing? Yes. Lists, sorting, postage, and drop at the post office are all handled here.
